DescriptionThis mod enhance detail level for users who own graphic hardware that is underestimated by MC and locked to Very Low Settings because of lack of Pixel Shader 3.0.
The mod is available in 2 flavours, choose the one that best matches with your hardware:
Higher: Pushes detail level a bit higher, with custom settings somewhere between Low and Medium for most settings, but disabling shadows, which will make game crash without pixel shader 3.0.
Highest: Pushes detail level beyond the highest available in game. When cars are displayed, they will never look like boxes anymore, but will look like cars instead. Shadows are disabled in this one too.
Supported Versions- Compatible with all versions of Cities XL.
- Should be compatible with all other mods except ones that replaces the original plazas.
DownloadHigher FlavourHighest FlavourInstallationDownload the file and unzip it into the "Paks" folder of your CitiesXL installation.
If you want to use this mod with a pixel shader 3 card (so, push detail level beyond maximum basically), use the "highest" flavour, and switch your detail level to "High" in game.)History1.0.2
- Cars were sometimes appearing as grey boxes, should not be the case anymore.
- You should see more things for more far distances.
- The above applies for both flavours
1.0.1
- By request from the german community (I don't speak german, so Andre transmitted me the request), I did a "pixel shader 3.0" version of the "highest" flavour of the mod, which can be used by people with crazy recent hardware and mainly, make grey box becomes cars and keeping shadows and lights.
I did not tested this flavour (I can't, but if someone wants to give me a crazy recent gfx card as a xmas present, wouldn't say no

), so if there is a problem with it , please contact me.

NotesSince this mod affects hardware settings, it may cause unexpected issues, especially if your hardware is too old, so if you experience any trouble, try removing this mod before trying anything else.
If your hardware is really too low, it may also lead to unexpected issues.
Just for information, I've got an Ati X800 pro, and both flavours works fine with game, I have a graphic issue (crash when zooming in) but it's not due to the mod, I also have this issue with a fresh installation. and the mod don't seem to improve things for sure, but don't seem to enworse them either.
